The Special Operations Tactical Vest (SOTV) has both the ability to receive soft body armor ballistic inserts (SABI), as well as front, back, and side hard armor ballistic inserts (HABI) for rifle-threat protection. The SOTV is designed specifically to include military fragmentation and / or NIJ threat level IIIA ballistic protection at the “over the shoulder” and the Operators side/underarm. Generous adjustability features allow the SOTV to be worn over the officers’ uniform shirt as a “stand alone” vest or, to function as a scalable plate carrier when worn over concealable body armor.
